On Thursday, November 6, 2025, Joe Baldacci presented a check for $2,000 to Suzanne Kelly, Chair of Faith Linking in Action, for its work helping to reduce food insecurity in the Greater Bangor area. The money is part of the Gerry Baldacci Memorial Fund. Gerry passed away in 2025. In addition to being a chef at both the Baldacci family’s restaurants in Bangor and other Maine based restaurants, Gerry was a passionate advocate for people in the community suffering from food insecurity. Faith Linking in Action was selected because one of their primary focuses is food insecurity and they have developed a unique calendar system to help folks in the Greater Bangor area who need free food find out where they can locate their next meal or a food pantry.
