Faith Linking in Action created action teams of faith organizations to work with our neighbors and live out our common mission of finding dignity, justice, and care for one another, especially those in need.  Faith Linking in Action is the only ecumenical social justice group in the Bangor area.  The Board of Directors is made up of clergy and lay representatives of all the participating congregations.

The current Faith Linking in Action Issue Teams are Childcare, Housing, and Food Justice.  The Issue Teams work with local and state representatives to address these issues of poverty and injustice.  In addition, the Food Justice Team has an ongoing survey of the barriers the people who use food pantries and free meals in the Bangor area frequently face. A recent summary of this survey can be found here. (do a hyperlink to the url below)

Faith Linking in Action holds one or two convenings each year focusing on the legislative and city council calendars.  We present issues, look for solutions, and strive to broaden the scope of knowledge and action of the congregations within the broader community.
