The Second Annual Celebration of Rev. Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr., sponsored by Faith Linking In Action (FLIA), a Bangor-area faith and social justice group, will be held on Sunday, Jan. 14, at Hammond Street Congregational church, 28 High Street, at 3 p.m. The keynote speaker for the celebration will be Dr. Harold Dorrell Briscoe, the Founder and Lead Pastor of The Six:Eight Church in Durham, North Carolina, and the author of There’s a Storm a Comin’: How the American Church Can Lead Through Times of Racial Crisis.
The celebration will include a Q and A with the speaker, followed by refreshments and conversation.
